The BingeMarketing® method
With the BingeMarketing method you learn to create content the way film and series makers do: as a story in episodes, one your audience keeps coming back for.
The method
Learn from the makers of films and series
The creators of series on Netflix, HBO and Disney know better than anyone how to build and keep an audience. Not with scattered shots, but with a well-crafted story in series form.
In marketing we often do the opposite: we race from campaign to campaign and start over every time. BingeMarketing turns that around, so your brand tells a continuous story instead of isolated messages. The result: a clear brand story, deep insight into your audience and content that builds towards something.

The foundation
The plot summary, your touchstone
The heart of the method is the plot summary. You capture the world of your brand as the text on the back of a DVD case: who plays the lead roles, where does it take place and what is it really about?
That plot summary becomes your touchstone. You test every idea, every post and every video against it: does this fit our story? That way, scattered content becomes one coherent whole, and your entire team starts from the same core.
Main characters
Who tells your brand story? Individuals, a team or the experts in your organisation, with guest roles for variety.
Arena
Where and when does it take place? The world your content lives in, which creates recognition and consistency.
Themes
Three to five overarching themes you keep returning to. Not a list of topics, but what it is really about.
Genre
The overarching tone and style. Drama, human interest, talent show or current affairs, choose what suits your brand.
MacGuffin
The goal that sets everything in motion. What are you working your audience towards, and what do you want them to do?
Your audience
From first encounter to loyal fan
A series only works if people keep watching. That is why you map out the journey your audience takes, based on the Hero’s Journey. That way you know exactly which content is needed at each phase.
Find
Your audience discovers your brand and recognises themselves in the story. This phase is all about standing out and sparking curiosity.
Retain
They come back, get to know you and start to trust you. Here you deepen the story and build the relationship.
Activate
They take the step you have in mind, and stay engaged as a loyal fan who brings others along.

Frequently asked questions
Good to know
What exactly is BingeMarketing?
A method for creating content like a series. You translate the techniques of film and series makers into marketing, so you build an audience that keeps coming back, instead of scattered campaigns that fade fast.
What is a plot summary?
A short summary of the world of your brand, like the text on the back of a DVD case. It becomes your touchstone: everything you make, you test against it, so your content hangs together.
What are the five ingredients of a plot summary?
Main characters, Arena, themes, genre and the MacGuffin. Together they establish who tells the story, where it takes place, what it is about, in what tone and with what goal.
What is the Audience Journey and what does the Hero’s Journey have to do with it?
The Audience Journey maps out the phases your audience moves through, from Find to Retain to Activate. It is based on the Hero’s Journey, so you know at each phase which content is needed.
